How Fixa works
Short version: Fixa gives you a work phone number, keeps every customer's calls and texts in one thread, and puts an assistant on top that writes down what happened and drafts what comes next. You confirm; Fixa does.
1. Sign in with your phone
Fixa uses the same phone-number sign-in as FixerUp Pro — a six-digit code, no password. Today a FixerUp Pro account is required; if you don't have one, the waitlist note is the place to say so and we'll set you up.
2. Get a Business Line
Your Business Line is a real phone number that belongs to your business, not to your personal cell. Give it to customers, put it on the truck and the invoice. Calls can ring through to your phone; texts arrive in the app. You can turn the line on and off from the app. Already have a number everyone knows? Keep it — the next beta step lets you forward the calls you decline or miss to your Fixa line, where the AI receptionist answers for you.
3. Every customer gets a thread
Calls, texts, voicemails, recordings and your own notes are grouped by the customer's number, in order. Open a thread and you see the whole history — what they asked for, what you said, when you were last there.
4. Fixa listens and takes notes
After a call, Fixa writes a short summary and pulls out the things you'd otherwise scribble on a receipt: the address, the problem, the date they mentioned, the price you quoted. Missed calls become to-dos with the reason the person called.
5. Fixa drafts, you confirm
Ask Fixa by voice or text — “text Maria I can be there at 4”, “what did Tom want yesterday?”, “remind me to order the valve”. Anything that leaves your phone shows up first as a card you approve, edit or dismiss. Fixa never sends a message, makes a call or changes a setting on its own.
6. Connect what you already use
Connections let Fixa read the email threads that belong to a customer conversation. Gmail is first. You connect an account yourself, you can see what is connected, and you can disconnect in one tap. Fixa only reads what you connected; it does not send email on your behalf.
What Fixa is not
- Not a lead marketplace — Fixa doesn't sell you jobs or sell your number.
- Not an auto-responder — nothing goes out without your confirmation.
- Not a replacement for FixerUp Pro — jobs, orders and payouts stay there; Fixa links to them.
